Pay-per-click Marketing
Pay-per-click marketing is a web advertising model used primarily by Internet search providers where advertisers pay a per-click fee to position themselves among the search results.
When a user executes a search, the search provider will show relevant ads based onteh content of the search. Advertisers typically bid on keyword phrases relevant to their target market.
The most well know search engine, Google, provide pay-per-click advertising through it’s AdWords program.
The main advantage of par-per-click is performance based cost. The advertiser is only charged a fee when the ad is clicked. The click results in the searcher ending up on whatever destination page the advertiser has specified. Once the click is complete, the advertiser pays no additional fee.
Pay-per-click is a direct marketing method where keywords, clicks and sales can be tracked and optimized to maximize return on investment (ROI). A well constructed and optimized pay-per-click campagin can be one of the most economical methods for driving targeted traffic.
